Review: A love story is still a love story. Mostly boy-date-girl, a little romance, leaky mess, conflict, make up or breakup and the end of the story. Well, here the boy also meets a girl, but he has a past (not cliché, marriage, illegitimate child or criminal history) that Manu is hard to stomach with all his manliness. Without giving too much away (story idea credited to Simran Sahni), let’s say Maanvi bravely fights against all odds and “transforms” into a new persona, someone she’s always wanted to be. Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Movie Plot
Manu (Ayushmann Khurrana) is the owner of a gym in Chandigarh and also a bodybuilder who prepares for the annual “G.O.A.T” competition. Unfortunately, the gym doesn’t attract clients until a Zumba instructor named Maanvi (Vaani Kapoor) enters the gym and things get better financially. Zumba classes manage to get clients to the gym. Manu is attracted to Maanvi and as they are about to kiss the former, the latter tells her that he has something to say to her. However, at this point, Manu refuses to listen to him and they end up having sex. Manu’s family members also like Maanvi as she is cultured and articulate. His sisters Prith and Matt encourage him to propose to Maanvi and marry her.
