Review: Mahaan begins with the prologue set in 1968. This prologue features three boys who participate in and discuss card games. The years have passed. In 1996, one of them, Gandhi Mahaan (Vikram), was disgruntled and forced to follow Gandhi’s values with his family, including his wife Naachi (Simran), a staunch follower of the Mahatma. At the age of 40, he accidentally met his childhood friend Sathyavan (Simha). He currently owns a bar. He decided to party all night, but the next day his wife left the house (along with his son Dada) after finding out he was drunk. He partnered with Sathyavaan to help develop his liquor business. A few years later, they met Gnanam (Muthukumar), Prologue’s third friend. He is now a politician and is helping his business grow. But when things seem to be going well, Gandhi’s past takes the form of his son Drew Vickram.

Mahaan (2022) Movie Plot
The film starts in 1968 when Mohandas leads a rebellion against alcohol production in the state of Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, young Gandhi Mahan plays a game of rummy with his friends, in which he and his friends fight each other with marks on their faces. When Mohandas hears that Gandhi is messing around and drinking alcohol, he decides to teach him a lesson, and he vows to live like the great Gandhi when he grows up and enforces alcohol prohibition.
